  • eee1666:

then i think (not 100%) black will simply lose a pawn, would not be able to castle and have a bad pawn structure. But I remember someone playing this stuff against me and I played Nd7. i’m curious about that move.

  • dagharr2:

what about a d4 advance for black after white’s e5 advance…you only highlight retreating the knight or taking the pawn…what do you think about the advance?

  • jrobichess:

Traps require certain positions. Knowing about them helps to recognize the possibility. Thanks for checking out the vid!

  • illusion422:

    At 1:45, Na5 is better then g7.

  • bpeags:

Yeah I specifically tried to play one of my games into this line, and succeeded. Too bad Ng4 instead of Nh5 just gave me a losing game. Lol. Well I haven’t really looked into the line at all there may be a tactic or something that enables white to keep an advantage.

  • marking548:

a decent question… this stops the original plan easily…

  • sebaspat77:

    I see. You’re right.

  • rsmasterkeith:

After white plays Qxe6 black will play Bd6 to block the check, give the rook protection by the queen and attack the white player’s queen and white will have to waste tempo saving the queen from capture.

  • sebaspat77:

I made a mistake, i was talking about the c6 pawn, not e6.

  • sebaspat77:

In my last comment i made a mistake, i was talking about the pawn on c6, not e6.

  • sufiyan3690:

  • Keithos86:

What if the Knight moves to g4 instead of h5? Please help.

  • hayeder:

jrobi, when did you actually start playing chess? because i can’t find a video of yours in which you go over basic things/principles or one where you make a proper blunder in a blitz game.

  • watarball:

    golden videos

    These videos are golden.

  • sebaspat77:

In the Fisher variation, i’m wondering why not simply take the pawn with the queen on E6 with check and forking the rook. I’m not sure blacks would fall into the trap and if they don’t you just missed a great opportunity.

  • Chesu360:

what if instead of playing dxe5 or Nh5, black plays d5?!
